Reversing childhood obesity

Amsterdam is tackling childhood obesity by banning juice and cakes in many schools, serving only healthy foods and water, subsidising sports for low-income families and guiding overweight children to build better habits.

Leeds in England supports parents of very young children toget off to a healthy start. Parents learn to be fair but firm at mealtimes. Families are encouraged to do activities together and use non-food rewards for good behaviour.
